History 

The first incarnation of RAMP appeared in Seixal, in August of 1988. The career of the band followed the normal course, rehearsals and shows, but after a concert in the mythical club Rock Rendez Vous, it came the composition of new themes and the recording of a K7 with the objectiv from publishing the first disk. It was multinational PolyGram that was interested and in 1992 it threw the mini-LP " Thoughts ". later, still on that year, he left " Thoughts " in CD, already with more themes.

In 1995 they threw the CD " intersection ", the second of the career of the band and the first with the stamp União Lisboa. Plus a decisive step for RAMP, that they entered for National Top of Sales and critical excellent granjearam a little for everyone in magazines with this disk as " Burn " and " Madball " of Japan, " Metal Head " and " Rock Brigade " in Brazil, Mindview " and " Hard Forces " in Belgium, among another.

Live RAMP is a machine that debits decibels with a lot of precision. That was demonstrated in the hundreds of shows that the band gave, where they stood out the concerts with Fudge Tunnel, Sepultura, Paradise Lost, Fear Factory, Megadeth, Benediction, Dismember, Ratos de Porão, Exploited and the participation in festivals as " MindView " in Belgium, " Printemps of Bourges " in France, Pop " Rock Bratislava " in Slovakia, " Vilar of Mouros ", " Super Rock Super Bock ", " Nights Ritual " and " Party of Avante " in Portugal.

With the CD " Evolution, Devolution, Revolution "(98), the career of RAMP gives more a step in front. Music as " Hallelujah ", Dawn ", How " demonstrates a great evolution capacity and they form an alliance the weight with the force and the melody. While " it Goes TO While " and " Old Times " with very melodic moments they show the same force with other garmentses. The innovation in the sound of the band is evident, of this time new elements were added as samplers, that formed an alliance with the powerful guitars and rhythmic section excelent, they resulted in an extraordinary disk.

And in 1999 Ramp are the 1st Portuguese Metal band recording a live cd, in their 10º aniversary concert, demmostrating why they are one of the most important Portuguese bands.
